Bonjour! Hello!
My name is Camille Bax and I am so happy to be returning to Ecole Mountview School as your Vice-Principal for the 24-25 school year! This is my 26th year with Red Deer Public Schools and the 9th as an administrator. I have a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Lethbridge and both my Bachelor of Education and my Master of Education from the University of Alberta. This is my third year at Mountview and I am thrilled to be here.
My husband of 31 years, David, and I have three adult children, Sarah, Lauren and Kyle, one son-in-law, Matt, one grandbaby, Hayden and one fur baby, Ranger. I love to spend time with them, but I also enjoy reading, walking, biking, yoga and baking!

My name is Kim Walker, and I am honored to be serving as the current principal at Mountview Elementary. I look forward to learning beside our students, staff, and families at Mountview and can’t wait to meet you!

Our dedicated team will create positive, successful, and productive learning opportunities in a consistent, predictable, safe, and caring environment. I believe that there is strength in honoring diversity and celebrating each other's unique heritage and background. We are better together!
Respect is fundamental to how we create a safe and caring school. This year, our theme is “BE Kind Every Time!” We all have the responsibility to model kindness, help others, and add value to someone’s day. You will often hear daily reminders on our announcements, along with Positive Weekly Mindsets/Affirmations and the words, “Be Kind Every Time!”

About Me:
I have a strong interest in early literacy and in creating confident readers, writers, and speakers at our school. I believe that if a child can read, they can achieve anything! As we implement the new curriculum, our teachers will welcome your child and attend to both their strengths and areas for growth as young learners. Our students are in the best hands, with dedicated and caring teachers who want to ensure each child's success.
With your support throughout the year, we will ensure that our students have the opportunity to learn, grow, and become more confident and resilient. We will infuse the district VALUES for LEARNING and LIFE at Mountview School: Respectful, Curious, Responsible, Collaborative, Resilient, and Healthy. We will also practice the three Mountview mottos for BE A YETI! - I am respectful, I am responsible, and I am resilient.
