Teachers - Grade 4/5 (English)

About Me

Hello and Welcome,

This is my fourth year of teaching and I am very excited to be welcomed into the Mountview Elementary team. I have had the pleasure of working as a Grade 3 teacher last year.  I have really enjoyed my time so far with Red Deer Public School and learn more every year.

A little bit about myself, after graduating from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Education (BEd) in Middle years, I began my teaching career in 2015, as a substitute teacher. I worked as a substitute teacher for two years, learning the ropes and enjoying my time learning with all the great students. Previous to becoming a teacher, I received my Diploma in Disability and Community Studies from Red Deer College.

I am originally from Whitehorse, Yukon, I moved down to Red Deer in 2007 and have fallen in love with this great city! I love the diversity Red Deer has to offer and I love giving back to my community!

My goal as a teacher is to engage and challenge my students and inspire them to become lifelong learners.

Some of my interests and passions include traveling, technology, cooking, crafting, camping, being outside, working with my animals on the acreage and reading. I also love spending time with my family and volunteering in my community.

Thanks for visiting this page, and I look forward to getting to know you and your student this year!
