About Me

Please visit our class website.

I was born in Saskatchewan and moved to Alberta when I was ten years old. I have spent my adult life living in nearly every province of this great country. My family includes my wonderful husband, Greg, and four endearing children who are or soon will be adults themselves. Kalyn is married to her best friend, Harry, Emma is my dog whisperer, Sawyer somehow survives a house full of women and Ava rocks high school and is by far the bravest of our four children. I love animals. Our newest addition, Tali, a tiny Morkie, is shy and a little odd, but I adore her just the same as she gives our eleven year old Husky/Shepherd, Jack, a run for his money.

Languages are my passion (I know my students will say it's coffee and chocolate. There is no doubt they fuel my passions!) My friend since grade school, Carmen, is from Spain and helps me to hold on to the Spanish I learned many years ago. Our dream is to visit her family in Spain. Hiking and camping with my family would be an ideal weekend.  As a matter of fact, it is how Greg and I first celebrated our union many, many years ago in Waterton National Park. On top of laying new flooring and painting our home, we thoroughly enjoyed kayaking this summer.

I am grateful to be a part of your family's memory book. I have been teaching since 1993 when I graduated from the University of Lethbridge (with a few years at home raising my little ones while running my husband's business as well as a daycare in our home). I hope to spend many more years with your children and my own future grandchildren because, like Peter Pan, I don't want to grow up!
